Feature Friday: Meet Shira!

FEATURING

Shira

By Julie Afsahi

Shira completed her Meditation instructor certification from Chopra Global in May 2019. She is a regular meditator and an experienced teacher. She has a deep desire to promote wholeness, well-being, and expanded awareness among all of us who are ready to tune in. Her classes honor each student, respect the true being each of us represents, and help to bring about a union of the mind, body, and spirit multi-dimensionality within us. As you embark on this journey, you will carry with you a sense of harmony, peace, balance, and joy of being.

Q: WHAT DO YOU TEACH AT SOUL STRONG?

A :It is my joy and honor to teach two series of classes at SSY. The first one is called Soularize, and the second one, which follows the first, is called Spiritualize. I love teaching both these series because they are about knowing our true selves through meditation. We can stay in touch with who we really are through a wonderfully simple method called Resonance Meditation. And this alignment with the silent inner being brings utmost joy, love. peace and fulfillment.

Q: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE TIME OF DAY TO MEDITATE?

A: My favorite time to meditate is early morning at 5:30 a.m.

Q: DO YOU HAVE ANY FAVORITE BOOKS ON MEDITATION?

A: My favorite books on meditation are Dr. Deepak Chopra’s ‘ Seven Spititual Laws of Success’ and his book ‘Metahuman’. Among other authors, I resonated deeply with Eckhart Tolle’s ‘A New Earth’ . Also Dr. Wayne Dyer’s book ‘There’s a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem’.

Q: DO YOU HAVE ANY HIDDEN TALENTS?

A: My hidden talent is writing poetry.

Q: WHAT IS SOMETHING THAT MAKES YOU GIGGLE?

A: I giggle at myself when I recognize my ego trying to act up and play smart Alec!! It sure tries to derail me on my journey of self- actualization! I also imagine the creator giggling lovingly at all of our collective human antics as we try to ‘awaken’ and self-realize!
