How early should I arrive at class?

Ideally, arrive 5-10 minutes early to check in and get settled on your mat. If it’s your first time at the studio, you’ll need an extra couple of minutes to fill out a liability waiver. Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes early, as the instructor will still be setting up the studio for class or another class in savasana (yogi nap time).

What classes are good for beginners? 

We have amazing beginners classes (Beginner’s Flow) on both Monday and Wednesday at 6:15 at our Sanctuary location. Another great class is Restore at 6:45 on Sunday.

What is Restore? 

This class requires little muscular exertion. Each pose is held for several minutes, and your body is supported by props – blankets, bolsters, and blocks. You will leave feeling nourished, well rested, and refreshed. No yoga experience necessary.

What is the difference between Power and Flow?

The Power class incorporates more arm balances and inversion in order to create a more full body workout. Where as in Flow, all levels are welcome. In Power, some yoga experience is a plus.

What should I wear?

Wear clothing that is comfortable, opaque, clean and has appropriate coverage. 

Do I need a yoga mat?

If you are on the New Student Special, mat rentals are included! They’re also included for all of our members. If not, we have them available for rent for only $2. 

What is the difference between Sanctuary and the main studio?

Our Sanctuary location is where hold some of our smaller classes. It is located at 503 E Main St. behind Texas Open Door Realty. Our main studio is where the bulk of our classes take place. It is located at 309 W Main St. in Suite 121.

How do I download the app?

If you have an iPhone simply go into the app store and type Soul Strong Yoga. You will want to download the second app that shows up. If you have Android go into the Google Play store and type in Soul Strong Yoga for this one you want to click on the first one to pop up.

Should I sign up online before my first class?

You can sign up online for your first class in order to get things moving. However, if you have any problems you can always come in 10-15 minutes before class and we can get you set up there. 

Can children come to yoga classes, or do you provide childcare?

At Soul Strong Yoga, all non-heated, non-Advanced, and non-Power classes are offered to ages 12 and up. All classes are available to ages 16 and up. If your child is under the age of 16, they must be accompanied by an adult. If your child is under 12 and you feel they're ready for an adult yoga class, please reach out to us! Call/text 512-686-SOUL. We'd be happy to chat! Yogis ages 12-16 years old also get a discounted Drop-In rate of only $10!

Under no circumstances can children be left at our studio or in the building unsupervised while their parent/guardian is in class. We also do not provide child care at this time. Please make arrangements for your children prior to coming to the studio.

Let's also give a HUGE shout out to Maura for teaching PHENOMENAL Toddler and Family Yoga classes!!! Saturday is so much fun at Soul Strong Yoga! Yoga with My Toddler is for ages 18 months-3 year old. Family Yoga is for ages 4 and up! On Sundays, we offer Postnatal with mamas and babies.

We also offer private classes for children, tweens, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, etc. We can also arrange for a children's yoga teacher to show up at a birthday party! The options are limitless.
