Have you hit a plateau in your physical practice? Maybe you’re curious about trying new asana but don’t know where to begin. In this series, Clara will progress you through four workshop sessions to advance your vinyasa flow practice safely and sustainably. We’ll learn how to create smooth transitions from posture to posture, landing in strength and overall ease in the practice. Over the course of four weeks, the four workshops include:
Day 1 - Sept 8th - Deep Core Strength
Day 2 - Sept 15th - Float & Fly
Day 3 - Sept 22nd - Advanced Standing Postures
Day 4 - Sept 29th - Arm Balances & Backbends
9/8, Deep Core Strength
In Deep Core Strength, Clara Hayes will work with you on ways to build strength and endurance to create a healthy and safe vinyasa flow practice for life.
9/15, Float and Fly
In Float and Fly, Clara Hayes will work with you on how to "float" to and from Downward Facing Dog to the top of your mat. You will also work on several fun arm balances that you can float in and out of, while working on safe form and alignment.
9/22, Advanced Standing and Balancing Postures
In Advanced Standing and Balancing Postures, Clara Hayes will guide you through not only how to do fun postures, like Bird of Paradise, but also how to properly warm-up and listen to your body to prevent injury.
9/29, Arm Balances and Backbends
In Arm Balances and Backbends, Clara Hayes will guide attendees through heart-opening practice. This will be followed by instruction on backbends and arm balances (such as Side Crow), using props in innovative ways that can help you as you learn.
