February is full of love here at Soul Strong Yoga. And while we adore Valentine’s Day traditions (especially the chocolate), this month seems like the perfect chance to meditate on self-love. Self-love is a term that’s thrown around a lot these days. I can’t help but wonder if the reason self-love is trending might have something to do with our culture radically trying to counter its burnout. Too many of us are running on empty, overworked and tired. When we allow ourselves to continuously give without first filling our own cups, we hit a wall and may find ourselves running towards extreme self-care routines to make up for it. Ever felt overwhelmed at work only to leave the office and promptly hit up Target to pick up a new wardrobe of workout gear as a motivation to reshape your life? Well, what if I told you that self-love doesn’t have to be extreme to yield results? And that it doesn’t have to max out your credit card to be real. Self-love is something we cultivate inside of ourselves and it takes some work. It takes asking yourself some tough questions and prioritizing your well being in all ways- body, mind and spirit. Instead of unsustainable extremes and impulsive purchases, we can cultivate daily self-love through simple, daily acts of self-care.
We’ve got two workshops coming up this month that focus on exactly that. First up, THIS Sunday, February 10th from 2-4pm we’re calling all ladies to join @jillmbirt for an afternoon of joy, love, and me time! This $45 workshop includes the following:
♥️Blend of Essential Oils to support of self-love and compassion
♥️90-min Yoga and Meditation practice to cultivate a felt sense of compassion and love for yourself
♥️Make & Take! All the supplies you'll need to make face and body scrubs with essential oils, hydrating serum, and other natural ingredients!

After that, check out Thai for Two (Thai Yoga Massage) with Jen Hilman! No partner necessary (but always welcome!) for this workshop.
